Introduction
The Ubuntu Center of Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Business, operating under the banner of Ubuntu Growth (www.ubuntugrowth.com), is committed to addressing youth unemployment and underemployment in Uganda through comprehensive programs focused on practical skills development, knowledge sharing, and leadership cultivation.
Established with a mission to prepare Uganda’s youth for the evolving demands of the global economy, the Center emphasizes resilience, innovation, and adaptability. Its vision aligns with Uganda Vision 2040, aspiring to empower 10 million youth and women by 2050 with the tools to create jobs, build profitable ventures, and leverage emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence for sustainable growth.
Key objectives include career guidance, self-discovery, goal setting, internships, continuous learning, and integration of essential competencies like personal branding, finance, sales, and technology adoption. Through initiatives such as Business Startup Ideation & Mentoring, Continuous Business Coaching & Training, and the Ubuntu Business Network, the Center fosters an ecosystem for entrepreneurial success, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals including quality education, gender equality, decent work, and innovation.
In alignment with this mandate, the Ubuntu Center proudly presents the “Future of Business” series—a dynamic platform designed to convene experts and business veterans for collaborative knowledge exchange and practical insights.
Objectives
The series aims to:
- Provide unfiltered, actionable tactics from top business leaders to support participants in scaling their ventures.
- Address fundamental aspects of business development through five guiding questions:
- What is business?
- How do I make money?
- How do I acquire and retain customers?
- How do I expand my business beyond its current scope?
- How do I build a reputable and lasting brand?
- Enable attendees at any stage of business development to attract clients, enhance service delivery, strengthen brand positioning, raise capital, and double annual revenue.
- Foster a global community of entrepreneurs by facilitating accessible, online participation.
Description of the Series
The “Future of Business” series will feature sessions every Sunday from February to March 2026, showcasing top business leaders who will share raw, practical strategies employed in growing and scaling their enterprises. Each session will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM East Africa Time (EAT) and conducted virtually, allowing participation from any location worldwide. The format will encourage interactive discussions, drawing on the expertise of invited speakers to explore real-world applications of business principles. Under the leadership of the Ubuntu Center, this initiative builds on its established programs in mentoring, coaching, and community building to deliver high-value content tailored for aspiring and established entrepreneurs.
Host and Leadership
The series will be hosted by Isaac Ssekisambu, a distinguished business lawyer and coach with over seven years of experience in establishing successful one-person businesses, companies, and mentoring programs. Through strategic content, Mr. Ssekisambu has guided a community of more than 6,000 individuals in launching businesses from inception and securing clients methodically. He currently serves as Deputy CEO and Head of Incubation at the Ubuntu Center, where he drives initiatives to nurture entrepreneurial talent.
